Vanguard Quick Release Cross Reference Find your tripod listed here and you may purchase it in the pull down menus below. Editor Notes: The QS-38 and QS-42 are no longer available, they have been replaced by the QS-39 and QS-40. Be careful when you order, the QS-39 is a standard screw 1/4x20; while the QS-40 is a 3/8x16 large screw. Most cameras for the USA use the 1/4x20 screw, many European or larger cameras (Hasselblad, Mamiya, medium format) or large lenses will use the 3/8x16 screw. Editor Notes: The QS-52 model number has been used twice, and they are NOT interchangeable. (Vanguard has discontinued the QS-87 - We are substituting the Samigon BSA622.
Only minor cosmetic variations in product exist, thumbscrew instead of screw, grooves in top are different.
It still fits and operates the same, the mount dimensions are the same.)

Vanguard Tripods

The Alta 1 tripod is a well built, metal tripod. It has several advanced features like: retractable spike /rubber feet, grounder - super low level legs, removable head, center column hook for added weight and stability. quick flip leg locks. It uses a standard QS-36 metal quick release plate (extra plates sold separately)

Fully extended is 55 7/8 inches
Weighs 3.43pounds.

Light weight and versatile, this tripod has a 3 way pan head, geared center column, rubber feet, leg stability braces, quick lock leg releases. It uses a standard QS-29 quick release plate (extra plates sold separately)
