Quick Release Plates for generic tripods

Here we have a Manfrotto head and a Promaster head with a missing quick release.

	Measure the length and width of the opening and then try to find the best fit.
	One thing that must be taken into account is that the quick release that we have may not be the exact size of your opening. If our quick release is slightly smaller (1/8" at most) it should lock in and hold your camera because of the rotating locking cam.
	Be sure when you measure the locking lever is in the open position and allow about 1/4 of an inch or 3mm.
	Measure the TOP of the opening. (Do not slide the ruler under the beveled edge)
	Watch for protrusions such as those on the picture on the left. These protrusions or tabs are what help some quick releases lock. If yours has them then you will need to get the quick releases with the notches like the QS-01 and QS-02.

After measuring both openings we were able to find our needed quick releases the Manfrotto is an easy fit as you can see. The ProMaster plate is bigger then what we measured that's because the bottom part of the quick release is not the same size as the top. But it fits and locks into the opening just fine
